The performance characteristics of polyester tent fabrics.
Polyester tent fabric is generally made of Oxford cloth, waterproof and fireproof, with a smooth surface and a
soft feel, not easily faded and in bright colours. The production of ordinary tents with 170T lining, 190T lining,
201D Oxford cloth raw materials, steel wire, webbing, zips and other auxiliary materials.
The outer tent is the protective layer of the tent, the general tent outer tent is coated nylon fabric, the thickness
and texture of the coating determines the rainproof performance of the tent, the texture of the nylon fabric is
strong and wear-resistant anti-tear.
The common polyester tent fabric coating is PU coating, PU is polyurethane polymer organic material, PU
coating is a stable and low temperature resistant coating, commonly used in a variety of fabrics. 1200
coating can protect against medium to heavy rain.
These coatings on polyester tent fabrics, in addition to their water-releasing function, also have the ability to
breathe and are known as breathable fabrics. The principle of breathability is that the coating is a pore-like
membrane with a single pore diameter smaller than a gaseous water molecule and larger than a liquid water
molecule. In this way, rainwater from outside cannot pass through the coating, while water vapour emitted by
the human body can penetrate to the outside world. The breathability of breathable fabrics is bi-directional,so
that in the case of high external humidity,moisture will also penetrate to some extent to the inside of the fabric.
